Meet Our 2024 Frontline Fund Grantees
The Midwest Frontline Fund uses a participatory grant-making model to award general operating grants to grassroots and frontline environmental justice organizations throughout the Midwest. Grantees become part of the Midwest Environmental Justice Network, which provides opportunities for shared learning, relationship building, and capacity-building for partner organization across twelve Midwestern states.
In an effort to build a grant-making process that is rooted in community and movement accountable, we convene an Advisory Circle made up of grassroots leaders across the region who inform eligibility, selection criteria, and priorities, while also serving as ambassadors for the Fund. Final funding decisions are made by our Midwest Environmental Justice Network Leadership Team.
After months of careful deliberation, we are honored to introduce you to the organizations across the Midwest who have received the 2024 Midwest Frontline Fund grant. The organizations in this year’s cohort represent a broad spectrum of environmental justice work—including work on food justice and sovereignty, air pollution and cumulative impacts, energy democracy, and protecting our waters. Please join us in congratulating them!
